This will be a drop in information event, planned for Thursday 25 October from 3pm to 7pm, Middle Meadow Walk. It’s aimed at encouraging safe and responsible enjoyment of the Meadows, promoting personal safety and safe shared use of the park. Along with partners from the Council’s Active Travel team, Fire and Rescue, Police Scotland and University of Edinburgh, it’s seen as an opportunity to engage with school children, students, cyclists, pedestrians, dog walkers, those participating in sports, and indeed anyone who uses the park as a route through the city, or as a leisure space.

The event will feature a range of activities and information, and will include opportunities to learn about active travel initiatives, crime prevention advice, home safety advice amongst others.

More information will be forthcoming as the planning advances, and you’re welcome to suggest another title for the event.
