The Library has now been up and running for nearly a year. We have two bikes available at present: a Tern Quick Haul Long and a Riese & Müller Packster 70

It’s been a busy year – the library has been steadily developing. We now have more than 100 members and nothing but positive feedback. We’re funded through 2026 (thanks to The National Lottery) and will soon be setting up our own central ‘hub’ on Bruntsfield Links, as well as continuing to use space kindly lent to us by our friends at Edinburgh Student Housing Co-op. We have a Project Officer to help develop and grow our services and have applied for funding to expand our provision (for example, adding a smaller folding e-bike, with decent carrying capacity, maybe a trike or more cargo bikes). We’re keen now to promote our service more widely, in order to attract more members and to expand our mission to help reduce carbon, encourage active travel, increase accessibility, reduce traffic on the roads and encourage a more circular and sharing economy, by giving people the ability to borrow an e-cargo bike for free and with ease.
